Adam's passion for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship provides the vision for his intellectual property legal practice, which focuses on strategic patent matters for emerging and established technology companies. Applying a business–minded, results–based approach to his patent and technology practice, Adam assists entrepreneurs, technology companies and other intellectual property stakeholders to develop and execute value–driven patent strategies. He has extensive experience managing patent portfolios, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, rendering non-infringement and freedom-to-operate opinions and performing intellectual property due diligence in a variety of business contexts, including asset purchase/sale, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital investment.

Experience

Adam has current experience in numerous technology areas and industries, including software, web technologies, financial and payment systems/services, telecommunications, semiconductors, mobile data networks, medical devices and university technology transfer, to highlight a few. He has advised internet–based start-ups, major telecommunications service providers and electronics manufacturers in patent procurement and product development issues. He is extensively involved in writing and prosecuting patents, as well as managing and leveraging patents, in the areas of software, web technologies, business methods and information technology. Adam has counseled corporate clients, venture capital firms and other investors in connection with various types of business transactions involving patent and technology assets.
