John's practice involves all areas of intellectual property law including disputes concerning patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights.

John's patent practice includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. John regularly counsels clients and renders opinions concerning the infringement/non-infringement of issued patents, the validity/invalidity of issued patents, and the design of products and processes to avoid potential patent infringement assertions.

John's practice involves all areas of IP law including patents, trademarks and copyrights.

Experience

John's patent prosecution experience includes a wide range of electrical, mechanical and software technologies. John's experience includes telecommunications and optical devices/systems such as application–specific integrated circuits, integrated circuit fabrication techniques, opto-electronic devices, broadband technologies, cellular communications and other RF/communications technologies.

John's previous work experience includes eight years as corporate patent counsel with AT&T, Lucent Technologies and OFS Fitel. John worked in private practice in South Carolina prior to these corporate positions.
